Description

Visited a nice little slate mine in Wales at the weekend with a VERY photogenic entrance tunnel.
A lot of Welsh slate mines had tunnels through spoil heaps to reach the underground workings, it gave the miners a safe route for pushing the slate trucks into and out of the workings.
[Nikon Coolpix 5400, exposure 1/2 second - hence the slight movement on the water and ferns!]

Excellent photo!!! Amazing amount of detail even though its such a dark photo. Like that grass surrounding that opening, the reflections...simply excellent capture!!!
