Description

This was all done this morning and after noon ( took me about eight hours) my eyes are fuzzy now LOL! from throwing around black and white paint in Psp7 then smudging . Back and forth betweeen paint ( various sizes)and the smugde tool (various sizes)and then softening over and over with a steady hand .. I like this one cause LOL I was suprised it happend!.. drew it all from my head didn't know where it came from.- like most things that happen to me. This is of my daughter Janel ( I call her Nellie)and "Butterfingers - on the right" and ("Rascle"- Butterfingers son.. wanted to put two in for fun). Butterfingers the hamster was missing for five days .I was worried last night cause she didn't have any water ...I thought she might be dead! When I was a kid in the 70's, my parents had a bumper sticker that said "I found it" .It was in bright yellow and black. So everytime I lost something and then somehow by God's grace I found it I thought of that bumpersticker on the back of the Suburban. LOL. still do. Something is so great about finally finding a lost thing. Find the Easter egg~ and you open it up and get the candy!!.. I have always managed to somehow lose my keys (whispers and everything else for that matter shhh)-or maybey they just lose me .. so I made a hook to solve the problem-just haffta find the keys hook. DId you know that allot of maritial problems begin with fighting over lost things?.....haha I think ARTISTS ARE THE BEST AT LOSING THINGs -true artists... doN't know why but it is true..!!!! well, when your a kid the feeling of finding something is alltogether amplified ( esp if you KNOW YOUR going to get a reward if you do ) well, today Janel Found Butterfingers before school , and She is getting a big reward ..I am taking her out for an ice cream later ,and out to the pool for the find..!! I..the whole time I painted I kept thinking of the bumper sticker " I found it"..!! LOL. It represents the feeling -behind " WHEN YOU FINALLY DO find it.." I hope you find it too!

I have always wanted to draw like this. I have it in my mind, but my hands won't cooperate! This is really cute, and funny, and absolutely delightful.

Great news, K! And glad you celebrated it with this image. It's great as usual! What you wrote was great too (always is). It reminded me of, there was a woman who had ten coins and lost one...there was a shepherd with 100 sheep and lost one...there was a man with 2 sons...you get the idea! Hope you and your daughter enjoy the icecream! Blessings!!

That is so cute!!! I'm glad you could not finaly close the Hamster-Hell. LOL Be careful now, you never know. You are sure Butterfinger had no time to get little Butterfingers??? But if it brings you to make such lovely paintings it is wonderful. Your work is amazing, Kimarie!! I'm every time surprised again !

You are amazing, my dear. Your stories are as much worth the trip as your astoundingly incredible artwork. Just a huge WOW on this piece..and I'm so glad Butterfingers is safe and well. The expression on your daughter's face says it all! Enchanting...simply enchanting. VOTE

ha ha .. I am laughing because of what you write about artists loosing things (yihaaa, then I guess I qualify as an artist at least in that area LOL). Does it also count that I have problems finding my way around in new places, and have to have a navigator in the car when visiting customers :-) ANyway .. you did it again, a fantastic picture "bubbeling" with creative energy. Excellent work!

Dear Kimarie, a very touchy picture of both daughter and hamster! And a very touching story so well depicted here! I think we all sympathise with misplacing things - it can be so frustrating to everyone - both the "loser" and the "searchers." I'm so glad this quest had a happy ending. Excellent work! Love, Meredith
