Pink... a soothing color...my music room/computer room/studio/medtation room is painted pink....all the same room. But pink is used in some prisons in the US to calm prisoners down...it works for me. And it works so well here. Beautifully captured, clean and crispy..no threats from me Mistress..Much Aloha to you..!

wonderful colourful work. I love pink.....and such a lovely orange ladybird.....I agree with your words, if you don't like a image, then don't comment, so easy.....but sometimes people make a big problem if somebody post only flowers, or bugs, or feathers like me........but it's up to that person....and what is "professional" other shots taken without a very good camera or all other things they use, can be more worth it then a professional shot......it depends what kind of feeling you have made a shot.....even when it is taken with poor light....I spoke....

I think there's no real matter about colors and brightness, the more important is the harmony between all these ingredients, including the central subject, the composition, etc... Even if I'm not fan of pink, you know I'm totally fond of insects macros (in particular) and also fond of your work (in general). You always have the harmony, regardless to the colors you choose... Since everyone appears to be commenting on 'pink', I'll simply avoid the subject and talk about something you might wish to carry with you when doing macro work in full sun. Comming to think of it, you will need three hands to pull this one off if not using a tripod, unless your able to hold the camera with one hand and achieve in getting the shot. What I am suggesting is the dot on the 'i' and having crossed all your 't's, so what is it? A fill card to bounce light back and soften the shadow. If you were shoting transperancy film, this would be a necessity since its dynamic range is only three stops. Still, I like all your macro work! V

Man oh man that is a terrific shot! You gave it a wonderful title and that image of the bug and it's shadow are perfect. You have a gift and you use it well. As for the pink, it is perfectly lovely. Well done!
