Description
The Blue Willow in the title comes fromthe slight "frill" around the whitish part of the spiral curves-- it reminded me of the classic Blue Willow pattern in porcelain. The in Distress refers to the transformations I imposed upon the fractal and the fact I was in a bit of painful distress when I made it.
The two distressings fitted together and for awhile cancelled each other out. Art is lovely therapy, I think. Better than drugs. far better.
Again, I hope you find somethng non-distressing and pleasureable in my offering. Built in UF, contrast heightened in PhotoShop to maintain the watercolor effect which is entirely UF 3 derived.

excellent pattern and collors..... Like the distress feeling you gave it and if it worked as a therapy for you, than we have a double winner..

great colors, must have been a very good therapy, if this came out.

Really nice.

It does have the feel of a tortured soul, as if searching for some sort of peace in its existence. Lovely distressed emotional piece!

Like a diamond, pressure sometimes produces beauty. This is lovely!

Really impressive image. I especially love the color of the radial background, and how beautifully if frames the distressed Blue Willow. The abalone shell colors in your image are particularly lovely and makes me long for that wonderful delicacy. V

I'm so sorry you were in distress, Emily, but this image is really wonderful! I love the blendings and textures! It's really very special and very uniquely you!

Very nice; I like the way the dark blue gives some structure to the smaller details. I bet there are some lovely zooms here - the squashed spiral on the lower-right grabs my attention.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I'll bet there are a lot of interesting zooms in this-- if only I didn't have this obsession with the whole Julia. It stems from never being able to isolate and define the complete Julia properly when I was just starting out. Now that I can, it's kind of my signature.
