Description

Rendered in V5P...Postwork in PSP8(softening edges of alphas) All the animals are alphas....Too bad no one out there has made any decent Artic animals. All the rest Vue....I like how the water came out, with the appearence of cracks resembling ice. Have no idea what I did to get it that way LOL. This was rendered in HDRI, I used the alpha sky as the HDRI lighting. And yes, I know the animals in the back left are a bit out of scale as my hubby pointed out, but IMHO, not worth a re-render. I love the ice with the cracks. That turned out nicely. The alphas are all blended very well. You bring up a good point, we need arctic animals!

We definetely need good arctic animales. Especially because winter ends here soon :-))). But seriously, since almost years i have a perfect idea in mind but i need a posable king penguin for that. No way. This is an excellent blend of Vue and alpha parts. Seemless. BTW, the best penguin i can think of comes with Vue. Of course not posable and hard to modify.But a good model. Oh, not to forget your image - excellent! Very icy.

Cool image,I was messing with the consept of ice floes the other day in fact,but never imagined its practicality of making such a cool scene as this.Splendid use of alphas.And you must explain to your husband that the animals arent out of scale,there just babies:D Splendid work here all around.As a side note,couldnt the Vue penguin be exported into Poser 5 and a "skeleton" added to it for posing? HHHMMMMMM....

A delightful rendering! Love the terrains & textures! Agreed we need more polar wildlife (real or otherwise)& at the present speed of Vue render engines re-rendering always provokes migraines!
