Description

Rendered in V5I..Post in PSP8. This for appearence sake is simple LOL. It has 385mil+ polys....The moutains in the background are ecos with Xfrog pines. The small buildings at lakeside are alphas...I tried 3d houses to no avail. One odd thing in the pic...the mtn on the left is positioned at -4500 & the one on the right is at -2500. Can't figure out why the one further back sticks out in front. I had some buildings on top of the left mountain...but they looked so out of scale, so I deleted them. I'm not happy with the water...but messed with it for close to 2 weeks...I'd say enough is enough. Credits: Sams3d - The dock Daz - all the rest Xfrog - trees Sky - Alpha..same sky used as HDRI for lighting. Comments & critics welcome. Thanks for viewing :)

Lovely sense of depth - only very minor crit - possibly the scale of the buildings on the distant shore is a bit small compared to the pine trees on the mountains behind? Probably just my old eyes! It's still a very well done image, I like it !!

Yeah Nick....The problem I had with is that the dock is postioned at 60...the Mountain at minus 4500.....I wasn't sure how to get things into perspective/scale so to speak...I had 3d houses in there but they looked huge. I MIGHT put it back the way I had it & do some other adjustments at a later time(I think the left side is a bit naked as well(prolly should have some tree limbs dangling...quite frankly I'm bored with this one...been working on way too long. I wish I could up the reference photo.....

It looks as if it has fantastic possibilities!Perhaps you can put it aside a while and then go back to work on it later, but as of now it's a fine image! Bravo, Debbie!

The image is very cool! (for the scale glitch, the best imho is take your character on the lake and clone him to the far shore; there, scale trees and houses in proportion to him... should work I think ) great work Debbie :) !
