Description
I was researching these guns as a part of a Battleship I was putting together, and I was amazed at the amount of machinery that went into these things. The double barreled 40s were situated more around the superstructure, while these MK IV versions were more out in the deck area fore and aft in batteries. The is supposed to be plating around the gun to protect the operators, but I left it off so you could actually see the gun.

Awesome. We have one of these in a park where I live. They used to let us play on it when I was a kid. Then someone painted them flat gray. These are terrific! Can't wait to see the battleship!

Amazing piece of modelling, it all modelled in Bryce?

played with one of these on the USS NC, they are complicated. It was found that the analog plotting tables on this class of battleship were so accurate that when the refit in the 80's came in, they didn't put in computers..;) great work.

Photo like quality here. I've taken numerous pics of the dual and quad mounts on several warships, particularly the battleships Texas and Alabama. These look like the real thing!
