Description

This is one of several of the same scene. I have others I intend to post cropped differently, zoomed-in etc, each shows a different viewpoint. I hope they don't become boring...maybe I'll intersperse them with other images to break the monotony. Thank you everyone for your individual comments and suggestions on all my posts. I haven't been able to view all your images in depth on a consistent basis as yet, but a cursory scan of new images to the Photography section here quickly drives home the realization that I am priviledged to be able to experience your incredible talent let alone have my images scrutinized by such a creative and accomplished group of artists. You are truly a wonderful, supportive group of people.

Ah yes, my fav subject, water and reflections. Any post work on this, the water in the background seems to have a mist, or is just burn out? The only suggestion is maybe a slight rotation to the left (the rear trees look as if they are leaning in). If think this is great shot. Steve : Scotland P.S. I don't this needs any cropping...

how can become boring something so beautiful.... it seems just as the wood is suspended between two skyes....

OOoooooooHHH!! AMAZING, look at those clouds being reflected on that calm surface. Excellent shot!!!!! And that small building (whatever that is) really gives this so much depth. Well done!!!

On a cold day somewhere up the Fraser. The mist adds the effect. The perspective gives it the artistic appeal. No monotony here...keep em coming.

Impressive capture of these reflections, and oh, that mist above the water, it's so beautiful! It looks wonderful although a tiny little bit dark. Very beautiful!

Yes it does look a bit dark I agree. I find that the image on the website is almost always darker then the image on my monitor from my own file and I often delete the first upload and lighten it then re-upload the image. UKmac asked if there was post-work done..especially in relation to the mist.... the only post work was to crispen the image a bit and lighten it (believe it or not). The mist is natural and I'll be posting others showing the mist that morning. OH...and the image does tilt a bit to the right....I have tri-focal glasses so I use the screen rather than the viewfinder and I've noticed I seem to tilt the camera a bit. I use a Canon G3 and the viewfinder is useless anyway..especially with the filter attachment..blocks the view entirely...but I never intended to use it anyway. I liked the pull-out and swivel screen for my lousy eyesight and slight tremor..means I can hold the camera close to my body for steadiness and look down into the screen rather than up at eye level. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions.
