Description

Really doubting to post this one in addition to yesterday's one, or not (obviously I did :). Thank you for your kind comments, I appreciate them all so very much! I was struck by the purity of the ice-crystals with the sun shining on them. The thrill of walking around here cannot be easily recorded in these shots. All these appearances of ice never touched by any human being show so much beauty it makes me regret to destroy them while I walk here and try to find the best places for making shots. On those moments I get the feeling I am in another world and forget all that bothers me, immersed in the curious joy of exploring a new unknown world! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 100 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

How lovely and crisp-looking this is! We don't have snow, and it makes me think back to my childhood (when we did)! Very good capture!

The world of two dimensions is such that you can tip your sightline only so far before the objects fall below the horizon but you can tip it too walk back out all the way until it hits the false ceiling in the frame. Pushing and pulling objects on the sight line lines them up to block out portions of what is nearby or to reveal them. Just being close to the crystals here where they serrate the white edge and give softness to the modelling of the shapes is worth the shot.

Once again, a very nice capture of the snow and crystal textures, very well done indeed!

I agree with how you feel at such times to feel like an intruder and yet spellbound by natures joys

I think you expressed the joy of the photographer very well here. I feel that too at times. Great crystals, they sorta remind me of the tribbles from Star Trek -- or some long forgotten ice cream from my freezer! ;)
