Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

I have been thinking about coma the distortion through a lens of colors into little cones with a spherical top and how a digital camera could remove that not requiring "layers" to create a projectible image where all three register correctly in position on a screen. It could also correct the unsharp if you could give it a surface map for the object photographed. All this came to mind when the viewers exclaimed about the "colors" in my work I displayed in the rec hall on a pool table. Then I realized my painters effort had been following the technicolor process which is only for big screens. This is magical for the small screen where all the artificial structure to exclude lenses is unnecessary. Diopter is a lie.
