Description

Time to return! The sun has moved and the mood is entirely different from the scenery of Justistal 4 when we entered this valley! With these high contrasts one has to make a choice, leave the sunlight intact and everything in front will be dark, of leave the front intact and overexpose the sunlight. The latter would wash out the warm colors and with only little details on the foreground I hope you'll agree with me I've found an acceptable balance. But please tell me your opinion! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 35 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

Wow, great shot!!! If I would not have seen Justical 4, I would have had troubles seeing what it is. I love the colors.

If it were not for the trees you could post this in the Terragen gallery. The image has crisp foreground and a cloud that cuts almost like a knife the sunlight. The sense of change is well taken.

Your balance is perfect and I love this scene, a mystical surreal affect and the delicate texture of the clouds/fog is superb. Well done!

Such soft beauty. No sharp icy details here! Wonderful, optimistic mood and the "suggestion" of the vista beyond makes this all the more wonderful.

The pastel colors from the setting sun give this a beautiful, muted quality. I think you achieved a perfect balance! Nicely done!

I think you exposed correctly considering the difficulty. Being so high up naturally its brighter, but I think you have enough important details to make this landscape work very well...the detail on the water is awesome, I love the colour in the shadows also. The hint of mountians in the distance adds mystery. Beautiful capture =)

verrrrry beautiful, Jan-Carel! this has an Asian feel to me. i think it's that tree in the center hanging off the bank. i expect to see a Chinaman sitting on the side of the bank. The colors in the sky are glorious & i so much love the deep rich tones of the trees!!! It's such a tranquil place, and i luv how you captured its mood!! excellent work!!!!! :)
