Description

The sun came up a little sooner than I thought and wasn't able to capture the total red glare of this lava flow. We did walk the lower area of this flow but wasn't able to find fluid lava oozing out. We did feel the intense heat! We did see the bright red lava below our feet (thru cracks). My friends feet were burning hot. Walk carefully my friend. Sorry for your injuries sustained on this walk........ This shot is dedicated to Punaguy Dave. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Mahalo Sharky! Was quite a walk over the rugged terrain. Saw natures forces at work today, something you don't soon forget. Ankle is much better after some icing...I will walk again. Thanks for taking me along...Beautiful shot! Maika'i!
