Description

Vue 5 Infinite Superb castle model by Sven Daennart This is a smal section of a larger image that I am working on. I thought it might be helpful to those that have not worked with Vue Infinite's ecosystems to show the image at this stage before the detail is added to the gardens and remaining landscape. This shows a practical use of ecosystems. The flowers, hedges are ecosystems (7 in all). Simple planes that have a procedural grass mat and populated with flowers. (You can not populate an infinite plane.) The circular gardens are each a torus textured and populated likewise. The next step will be to add geometric designs to the flowers gardens with other species, add trees and detail the ponds and other parts of the lanscapre that are not visible in this close up. Learning wise, I have just scratched the surface of Vue's new features. For more advanced/creative uses of ecosystems and other features, I suggest the works of pmermino, raffyraffy, Erka, sacada, Czarnyrobert (TROC), Polax, and Wabe to name a few.

Very nicly done - good of you to provide such details, as Shari says I too was starting to feel on the wrong side of the bell curve.

Awesome Ken... expecting the outcome ! Hoping to work with Vue sometime... not now, my Mac too slow for the moment. That castle is one of my favorites, did you know the roof resembles a city ?

With regards to the castle, please note that I have not concentrated on proper texture application at this point in the process.

Looking fantastic Ken :-). I'm very jealous over those ecosystems. No way I can get that upgrade at this point, but I'm really enjoying seeing what you are all doing with them. I especially like the row of red flowers. Really nice contrast. I look forward to seeing what the rest of it looks like.

Wow, awesome Ken. Even in this unfinished state. Maybe a little underexposed, but... :-))) Again, you did a brilliant job already and the finished image will be a stunner, i am sure.

Excellent work allready. (Minor suggestion for improvement: Personally I'd work on the flower textures, tuning the diffuse and ambience, perhaps with a slight luminicense effects would diminish the "cardboard appearance" of the petals. Actually, I think it's an overlooked detail in most flower-pics in this gallery.)

This is indeed a superb model - I've been to Chambord once and it instantly came to mind seeing this lovely picture. Thanks for sharing the explanations though I have no idea when I'll be able to use them (getting V5I).

Dear Ken, I'm already thunderstuck! The vegetation and the sky are incredible. And such a delightful little place to get away from it all!! ;-) I'd hate to heat and staff it, however! Very beautiful and I can't wait to see the final version!!! Excellent work!! Love, Meredith
