Description
Vue 5 Infinite
Superb castle model by Sven Daennart
This is a smal section of a larger image that I am working on. I thought it might be helpful to those that have not worked with Vue Infinite's ecosystems to show the image at this stage before the detail is added to the gardens and remaining landscape. This shows a practical use of ecosystems. The flowers, hedges are ecosystems (7 in all). Simple planes that have a procedural grass mat and populated with flowers. (You can not populate an infinite plane.) The circular gardens are each a torus textured and populated likewise.
The next step will be to add geometric designs to the flowers gardens with other species, add trees and detail the ponds and other parts of the lanscapre that are not visible in this close up.
Learning wise, I have just scratched the surface of Vue's new features.
For more advanced/creative uses of ecosystems and other features, I suggest the works of pmermino, raffyraffy, Erka, sacada, Czarnyrobert (TROC), Polax, and Wabe to name a few.

I was not able to comment on this until now as I was literally at a loss for words. The photorealism you have achieved here is unparalleled. All of your work displays such talent and all are very realistic but it terms of shadows, lighting, flora, fauna, building textures, etc, I'd have to say that this one takes the cake. Again things are so "audible" from looking at this picture - I can hear crunching of heeled boots on the gravel path and the rustling of skirts during an afternoon walk. Enchanting. I want to be there!
