Description

The high Carnedd ridge lies ahead. We will soon be traversing the skyline seen here, between the tops of Carnedd Dafydd and Carnedd Llewelyn. Jeez these Welsh names are not easy! I thought the galic names used in Scotland were bad enough but down here its toungue twisting country, wait to you hear this, our route for the the day..... Starting from Bethsda, we follow the Afon Llafar to get onto the Mynydd Du, which takes us up to the first top Carnedd Dafydd. From here we decend east and follow Sgolion Duon over Craig Llugwy to the second top Carnedd Llewelyn. This is where the fun begins as we turn southwest to tackle the steep and narrow Craig yr Ysfa that leads to Pen Y Helgi Du. If thats not enough then we go over Bwlch y Tri Marchog to Pen Llithrig Y Wrach and Craigiau Gleision. Phew....Happy Easter Everyone
