Description

Canon EOS 10D, Sigma 135-400 lens at 400mm ISO 400, 1/400 sec, at f5.6 Photo was taken in the mountains of West Virginia, USA in 2003. We were driving nearly 900 miles in one day to visit with relatives at a family reunion, and we stopped to rest at a scenic overlook on the side of the road. When I got out of the car to stretch my legs, I saw lots of wildflowers covered with colorful butterflies. This is just one photo of many from that short stop. I would have never seen these colorful hidden treasures if I had not gotten out of the car. Thank you to all for your comments on 'ruffled feathers'

wow, this is gorgeous, in real wildlife taken......mostly butterflies like this one are taken in a butterfly-house, thats why I like this one A BIT MORE !!! because in a butterfly-house the butties knows there are people around...and in wild life is a different story...you are a lucky man..love the colours in here, and such a perfect dof.......well taken Tim..."v"
