Description

As the centuries pass, and the seasons come and go, the continual action of water is slowly revealing the secrets beneath the red rock surface; stratafied mountains and hills, and a rich bed of fossils that the quiet creek is about to uncover. Come on, let's take a walk and see what we can find! Terragen map, erroded with Terraformer II. Strata from StrataGen2. Overlay rocks from photos. Rendered to a TIFF, with gamma correction in Photo Shop. A wild, windy evening here- hope all is calm where you are. Leave a comment if you like.

Strata and surface are wonderful. Love the terrain and pov. I think I woudl have made the sand close to the water a bit darker but that's just me still a very stunning work.

Excellent work Paul. You've done well with this point of view ...its loaded with perspective. Your surface work and color choices are very good as is the strata - I like the way it falls in various places on the upper terrain.

I forgot to say it on a previous image, but I'll use it on this one. Some of your work demonstrates what UTAH (Monument Valley, for example) might have looked like just a month before it turned into a dry, scorched wasteland. This is so, very beautiful. Thanks!
