Description

Sitting on a bench I suddenly hear some flying birds approaching, flying above the water. How fast can one take one's cam, put it on a tripod and put the telelens on it? With an old SLR cam without autofocus I must have had 1 or 2 seconds to point and shoot. What a joy when I got my developed slides back! No surprises with modern technical equipment anymore, autofocus lets you point and shoot instantly and you can see the result immediately on your little lcd-screen! But... there's still the joy of shooting those birds and I'm glad to meet many talented photographers here on RR who shoot those birds perfectly! Minolta X-700 (Fuji Sensia 100, 100 mm) Thanks for your attention and your always valuable comments

An inspiring image! I know the feeling you speak of...seeing the birds fly and trying to capture them on film....quite a rush.

swans flying....always an impressive sight! You caught them at the right time. A frozen moment in time, I do agree with you on the seeing instantly what you captured on LCD screen lol...but for someone like me, it makes photography so much easier. Using film, and especially slide film asks for perfect exposures! Excellent capture, and well exposed considering the tricky conditions. Beautifully done =)
