Description


The little Victorianised greenstone church of St Wilfred, tastefully done up by Ewan Christian in 1890, sits amid a handful of houses in the tiny village of Thornton in Lincolnshire. The centre shot shows the Aumbry, a small recess to hold the sacred vessels. The shot below is the altar cross and candlesticks.

they're all fantastic images, but i think my fav has to be the middle one. i love the peeling paint and that it looks a bit like a secret place!! i do some much enjoy that church too! excellent work!!!

Interesting, that archetecture doesn't strike me as being over 100 years old and you'd think someone would straighten those poor grave stones. Great shots.
