I'm wondering what would people in 1000 years think about this 'artefacts' ? was this a 'high developed' civilization ? This is place of cult ? Regards :))

Politics aside , I like how the branches outside the memorial mimic the center image. The texture is really interesting.

i would not say the russians did most of the "bloody work" all sides lots terrible amounts of men. the primarily US/british airwar over axis occupied europe, D-day as well as the march across france or the ill fated operation market garden were no cake walk for allied forces. the fact of the matter is that the US made a deal with stalin because he wanted the morale victory of being the one to actually take berlin(of course russian military tactics at the time tended to lead to large numbers of casualties). and knowing the extremely high cost in lives of doing so, the US high command was more than willing to let the russian forces have the "honor". allied forces under Simpson reached the elbe on april 11, it wasn't until april 16 that the russian offessive into the city of berlin began and ended on the 21st. the US/USSr armies met a mere 4 days later on the elbe where the US forces had been waiting. hollywood be damned the historical facts speak for themselves.

Another fascinating look at a culture most of us in the US were shielded from.

Ah yes!! It was the Russians who defeated the German army indeed! What's funny about all this is that the Americans are totally against the communists but they're doing just the same by corrupting infos! It's crazy what American people are told that's so untrue!! How's that for a democracy and the "freedom of speech" they're so proud of!? ;)
