My wife bought me a camera when I promised to give up smoking! I havn't had a cigarette for 3 months now but I still miss them.BIOBirth = 1962
Status = married (I don't deserve her)
Job = teacher (mostly economics)
Residence = Switzerland (not one of the beautiful bits)
Hobbies = Books (she says we have no more space)
TV (she says I watch too much)
DVD (she says they are a mess)
Food (she says I must loose weight)
Photography (she says my pictures are no good) - sighs
SHE IS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME!

Well done image; when I was in the Army, decades ago, I had the displeasure of serving on a 'tank killer' and for obvious reasons I never wanted to get near a tank :-) Excellent photo!

Your "flash-back"" 20 years ago, is a very interesting, and educative series!! Especially this photo I like very much, all the kids will be now approx. 25 years of age, hope they don't have to serve in the army, and that they haven't been send by Putin to a war zone!! Thanks for sharring with us!! Henk

Still forgot to tell you on our little talk about army that beside cleaning shoes I learned to drive a tank, but its nothing I'm proud of, and I'm glad that it was just for a short time (15 months) But on other side I had luck, the other guys had to walk and crawl :-p Funniest situation was when one of my companions drove with the gun barrel directed to sky into a low hall (looked like a banana afterwards, lol) what a great laugh we had (he not included, hehe)!

Ah, the things boys love to play on! Their colorful clothes brighten an otherwise grey scene.

Ahhh, the facination of kids (and grownups?) with things military... guns, planes and the mighty tanks. Nice capture.

Fascinating....Do you think the children had any idea? Thoughtful capture.

I bet that museum is a fascinating place to visit. Nice to see another use for all that military hardware. Great shot! No pun intended :-)

Great image, I've loved this series, apologies for not commenting on the others, I've been away on holiday & had too much to do since I got back. The fascinating thing for me about this is that as a 17 year old your series would have disturbed me. 20 years later, I look at the clothes the children are wearing & thank God we came through the Cold War the way we did. Let us hope we can look at 2005 images in 20 years and say 'thank God that situation is that much better now'. Peace & good wishes, Steve.
