My first attempt at making my own planet (crazy concept, huh?) The water's a bit strange, but I'm trying to fix that. Tell me what you think, and what I can do to improve. T4V.

For a first build your going great guns. Leave the waters if you want a stagnant algae growth in the water. Moon looks good & reflections work well. I would look at the rockfaces to use DISPLACEMENTS which will make a large percentage of the image more interesting. Great start...look forward to the finished product:)

I like the depth the water has.You could fuzz the reflections up a bit so that it doesn't look so glassy.

I agree with Woz...your doing great!...He mentions "displacements"...you will find they will also look good under the shoreline of your transparent water!

This is a good start..water is Imho one of the most difficut things to get "right" Feel free to ask questions in the forum...

Actually, I really like those cliff-faces the way they are - that 'sparkle' really adds something. Look for my 'lightSwitch3' FG thread to lose the 'daytime stars' effect. A great start!

Great start, I like the sheer cliffs and the moon position. Water is very nice too, provides some excellent reflections. keep going! ^_^
