Description

MATTTIDBALL.COM The story behind this stamp will forever remain a mystery all insoluble. This likeness of Queen Victoria remains mute. I know the story of the last 15 years of this stamps existence, but that hardly matters. The relentless passing of time will extinguish all memory...I think this is the type of contemplation that leads to nihilism...I must stop. :)

I stacked the stamp up on 5 dimes to get it to jump out at the viewer.

This is so intrigueing for so many reasons. I studied the design and details in a light you have given us to do so. Great macro. I like how you change it up. Always different and fresh. Your making me wanna shoot more and post some of my own photography. Can't do though. It's not in the program I got going right now. KP

Lol! Enmos, I guess you could say that! Nihilism is the doctrine of non-belief - similar to anarchy. soulofharmony - if you look at the ink stamp you can see the date. There is only one city in Manitoba that starts with the letter M-E-L-I and that is Melita.

Interesting how well preserved - being postmarked it must have been used - Great photo work - I can clearly see the paper fibers around the edge -
