Description

For some reason I just really like this scene. I'm not sure why, but maybe it is the Mediterranean look of the patio. I could picture this on some Greek island, not in its central Florida location. I thought the color version was decent, but wanted to see what an antiquing effect would do for the image. When I got done with the postwork, I couldn't decide which I liked better, so I decided to post them both. I'd like to dedicate today's image to diomedes66. Paul is an inspiration to many of us with his humor and wisdom, and I love his "old-timey" photos. This one (the bottom) is for you Paul. Have a great weekend everyone. Two for one and both with equal merit, I can see why you hesitate with which to choose: the antiquing has an old charm with its texture and the modern is vibrant with its clarity. Perhaps you made the best choice of all and posted both :)

The perfect spot to sit with a glass of wine and chill. I think I like the colour one best but it's so close I am not sure! lol Both are excellent!

Dear Kort; I don't have words to express how honored I feel; my profound gratitude and sincere thanks for this dedi - I'm quite flabbergasted. And both are magnificent compositions; of course, I like the bottom one better :-)

Both are wonderful, I like the color one best. It feels Tuscan to me. I especially love the poem at the bottom. Nice dedi to Paul, he inspires us all to see things in a different light!

They are both very nice. The color one isn't that colorful to begin with so it's tough to choose. Very nice work on the second. KP

This is a special presentation for me - a perfect example of the original scene and then the very expressive vision the artist see's - each has equal quality and merit with to distinctly different perposes -

:) Hey, the top part of your pic looks a lot like mine :) And I also couldn't decide which version (color or sepia) I prefered, so I'm gonna post the sepia one on another day :) Anyway, very Mediterranean feel to it, indeed, and I do love both versions. Wonderful work :)
