Description

Listening to an old journey album...i think it was Topaz...inspired by the song of the same name.. this was rendered in poser 5 using volumetric lighting, yes poser5 has volumetric lighting,it was implimented in the last upgrade..the poser6 manual explains it..cuz when it was added as an upgrade there were no instruction on its use or what the dials did. i also used a prop from the freebies called black hole,it has a very volumetric look to it also being this wierd transparent cone with space on it.very cool.Hope you enjoy.. and i am not sure if it is possible with dial up to catch up on all that was posted this week,i think i will have to start anew..sorry!if there is anything you would really like me to see please drop me a note and i will be glad to look. i have 890 ebots..Yow!!!!!

This rocks, just like the whole Journey album which is is their first one (made right after the key members left Santana), and one of my all time favorites. Take a listen to the first song on the album "Of A Lifetime" - Neal Schoen is one of my favorite guitarists. With your imagination Bill, sci-fi is a real natural genre for you. A big VOTE!! for this one.

Dear Bill, 890 e-bots is NOTHING! Wait until you see what happens to the GIRLS on Monday with their e-bots during Monday Morning Meredith Madness!!!! I had an uncle that was an avid science fiction fan and collector - he taught me to read using the old pulps as my textbooks, (and people wonder why I'm strange!) This reminds me on an old Astounding cover - I just can't come up with what story it was illustrating. It also reminds me of one of the Adam Link robot covers. I think it is amazing how you have managed to create it almost gender neutral as would be the case of a robot/cyborg. I'm not sure how much is props and how much is post work - it's just too well integrated! You've got a very steady hand - the spiralling smoke/flame/contrail is really a great epicycloid! Again on the integration, I can't pick out what is volumetric lighting and what is post - incedible work! Good luck with your e-bots and dial up! But for what it's worth, I get way behind on my visits - like now - and have got SDSL at home and fiber at work! But seeing what your friends are up to is always fun even if it takes a lot of time! Love, Meredith

Volumetric lighting rocks! I've used it quite often in P5 renders, the downside is that the render takes ages... And this image rocks too! I love the POV and the vinelike props, and that spaceman texture/suit is just awesome. Excellent work!
