Description

I would like to add this image as # 48 of my 'family album' series I don't remember when I first met her. I have a feeling that I always knew her. She was one of my relatives. Her family lived about five minutes from us. What I remember most is that every morning I used to stand in from of our house, and waiting for Judith and her mom. When they arrived she took my hand and we started to go to the direction of the kindergarten. We used to stop almost in front of each house, and peep into the yard of the owner. Sometimes we wanted to see if the dog of the homeowner was waiting for us, sometimes we wanted to see if this or that flower is already blossoming at a special yard. We knew all the names of the dogs that lived in the houses from my house till the kindergarten. We knew all the names of the flowers that were growing in the yards of the houses that resided on our way. Well, not exactly. We didn't know all the names, but that little fact haven't bothered us. We gave a name to a flower when we weren't sure what its name was. Of curse the dog petting, and flower watching took their time. Judit's mom wasn't so happy with our morning activities, because she had to go to work. We continued to go together to the elementary school also. The only thing that changed was, that the elementary school was at the direction of her house. So I would arrived to her house where she was already waiting for me... and we used to stop almost in front of each house, and peep into the yard of the owner. One morning, Judith told me that the following day they are moving to another town, and we can not go to the school together anymore. I remember that the next morning I was waiting in front of their houses a half an our or so, hoping that somehow her parents changed their mind, and decided to stay. But no such luck. Judith never came out anymore from that house. I remember we used to get letters from Judith's mom, where she used to mention that Judith doing ok... and that's it. I remember also, that suddenly those letters are stopped coming. I was already a high school student, when one day a new girl, Hilda, arrived to our school. I remember I was very exited, because our teacher told us the name of the town of that girl, where she is came from. At the break I as Hilda, is she happens to know Judith. She looked at me, and said: I used to know her, but she has been killed in a car accident a long time ago. Nancy, thank you so much for your wonderful comment :)... You know the worst part is that I used to hope that one day we will move to that city where Judit was to live... and we could be friends once again... and when it turned out that I was hoping for something that never could happen... I was devastated...

Thanks for your wonderful comments... I re-read the notes and I noticed that I haven't write anything about the images I posted... I made that image as a tribute for Judit... You can see there are two women on the image... conversing happily... I imagined that if she was still alive and we still be good friends, we would have many wonderful conversations... I reall miss her...

Thank you for your nice comments... Since kindergarten I had made many friends... some remained my friends... some don't... but each time when I made a new friend... and I was checking my feelings... somewhere in the background was Judit's image... and I was comparing many aspects of a new friendship with those feelings I had when Judit was my friend. I remember... that sometimes I was ashamed of myself because of the comparing process. After all each of my friends stand on their own merit... Anyway, I remember that once when I was meeting my friends... we were talking about friendship. And than somebody told us that she read somewhere... that woman always searching for that ideal childhood girlfriend... even if they are searching for a suitable man for themselves...

Wow, Koty! First I want to say congratulations on Mapplejuice in the marketplace. I saw her in the new releaases. Second, I'd like to say that this is a really touching and heartbreaking story. I love the way that you tell your stories. It is a wonderful thing when someone touches our lives so much and leave such a big impression. I am sure that if she were here today, she would be very honoured that you think of her so well. Big hugs, hon! ~Meli

Thanks for the nice comments :)... You know I am wondering what I found most precious about Judit's friendship... and it seems to me... that what I found was that trust... I knew she will be there in front of our house on every morning when there was kindergarten... I also liked so much her caring... I knew that when I 'named' a flower... she would try everything that she would like that name... and was happy for me that I found an appropriate name... and it went vica versa... when she 'named' a flower... I did the same what she did...
