Description

OK did photo and postwork all myself this time ((SWEATS))..still attempting to learn this whole photography..made my own frame tried to make it looks like a fossilsed cracking prehistoric shell of some sort...lol well, i tried...! I got my puter running last night somehow( for a while) did a bit of paintover thouugh cause i still have my bad camera... lol .will get back to serious smugding soon soon as I get my puter up and running!-tax returns soon hopefully LOL.. Ok story behind this guy He is a sabertooth CAT who lived 25 thousand years ago..( they are not called sabertooth tigers btw~but sabertooth cats!!)The Labrea Tar Pits in LA is home to over three million fossils from the last Ice Age. It was here that huge mammoths, fierce sabertoothed cats, and giant ground sloths became trapped and entombed in the asphalt that has been seeping out of the ground for the past 40,000 years.- so- This guy lived and died in frustration probally trying to get out another stuck animal to eat - then he got stuck too .. greedy kitty got tarred!! yeah so i did a bit of postwork in PSP7 ( i dont have any photoshops...sliight bit of smugdin shhh...) this involved allot of postwork as i have s dumb old kodac easyshare dx4330..3.o LOL. Anyways, so last day of spring break for the kids.. and they are going stir crazy.. so I take them to La BRea tar pits in LA .. a place thats famous for where all the big guys got stuck in tar and trapped back in thier day and age!.. most the stuff in there wasn't too good for picture takes.. BUT OK I WAS BAD!!! I snuck over the gaurder rail and got up CLOSE from underneath and took this shot with the black ceiling above and me shooting up ..( AGAIN my kids think i have lost it )..then this REALLY UPTIGHT powertrippin stuffed shirt came out and gave me the business- biggest yellin I have EVER had aimed at me since grade school.. yeah-OK SO I was a bit naughty and yeah serves me right(i took the risk when I made the call to do it-) had a feeling IT cOULD happen!!- just embasrrising in front of my kids to get verbally barreated... LOL NOT SORRY I TOOK IT THOUGHT HEHEHE LOL ( I AM EVILLLLLLL )jks- cause I got the VERY COOL SHOT i WAS AFTER !! ...no guilt here I didn't hurt or touch a thing just took a picture - the art is worth the PAIN!! ok ok I uh- repent... -kinda- for the kids.. My bright strait" A" student little girl Nellie pointed out-" MOM, I do think she was upset that you couldof knocked over those old racked bones or something..""! (( bites lower lip and winces))) yeah tail between legs... "yes i know honey, I was wrong..I am not perfect" ((no regret though - am i warped in the head???) - STILL AM GLAD I TOOK IT!! LOL!! you can send me messages now of how i need to ask permission first... uh huh know its comming.. LOL thanks for all your comments care and support.. lol I admit it -yes the first step ... am an addict now..uh huh fully. on renderousity...out of control! HUGS! ~Kimmers!s

Somehow, I can just picture this Big secuirity Guard giving you the 10th degree, your story gave me a good morning chuckle. Have to agree with you that the risk was worth it, the picture is outstanding, and I think the POV is what makes it that way.....Execellent.....V....John

You did a brilliant job on this one. PSP8 works even easier and better too for post work. I don't have PSP9 yet, but people love it too.

Next time that REALLY UPTIGHT powertrippin stuffed shirt comes out to give you the business, ask him if he could please take a picture of you standing next to the sabertooth CAT (And dont forget to say pretty please), lol. Some people will, lol. Its no fun being tame. Wild and dangerous is fun. Excellent shot of Kittie. Aloha
