Description

Something simple, a line of trees. "A tree is a wonderful living organism it even gives shade to those who weild an axe to cut it down." BUDDHA (inscribed at the gate of a forest reserve at Kandy, Sri Lanke) This year while walking in the woods I really noticed the structure (bare bones) skeleton of the trees. Pure radiant beauty!!!! The book Remarkable Trees of the World by Thomas Pakenham is a rare find. If you ever come across it in one of the book stores open it and you'll understand my passion for trees. This is a quite wonderful composition; being from the desert I always stand in awe of trees and am always ever so excite to enter a forest. BraVo, quite excellently composed monochrome!

Simply....yet oh so fantastic. Im a tree-lover myself and i love the way these naked trees look. Okay, so they are more magnificent when in bloom but without any leaves on them, they appear so creepy in a way. Especially in B/W like this. And against this snow..they look nothing shorten than perfect. Excellent capture my friend. Hope i made a little sense...just woke up at 5 am..sigh...and have to work...sighes even deeper... Why I hate billboards that clutter up the landscape is best summed up by Nash, when he write: I think that I shall never see a billboard lovely as a tree. Perhaps, uness the billboards fall, I'll never see a tree at all. From 'Happy days' (1933) 'Song of the open Road'.
