Description

This is my third picture in series using Sara Gilbert's photos. Thank you Sara! This one I've mostly painted in PhotoShop. You can see the original photo of Sara's and also some steps / versions of the progress of the final picture in 2D Forum here. This is for 2D Forum's April Theme - Flowers. Thank you so much for viewing! I really appreciate your comments! :-)

ohhh titta... i guess you know how much i like this picture... it's amazing - the mood here - the little lady - sitting there - staring in the water - watching those flowers... the light - the reflections... well reflecting... reflecting about life... about relationship... about joy and grief... about light and shadow... where's her home? where does she feel home...? --- thanks you titta - this is not simply wonderful - this is thought provoking... and touching... uncountalbe hugs

I so love that deep reflective mood that you captured & expressed so well here Titta, the colours & contrasts are really evocative & engaging, knowing how much time & thought you put into this is I can only say it's truly worth every single moment! Lovely work & perfect for the theme hugs ; )

--my dear Titta...you've just done a wonderful job on this project -- it looks fresh & vibrant! --- the background and esp the foreground work at her feet is exceptional - and so in fitting with the title...one of your best!

I'm with Cass over the inherent contradictions here! To combine such balmy natural waters with the setting of a grimy warehouse invites great reflection, so the title's perfect! Very enigmatic stuff, great work Titta and thanks again to Sara for her inspiration :-)

I thought of Ilona when I saw this one! I actually thought she was ur model here!! I love this Titta! That ground, with her feet lost in the flowers and her pose and expression...what a gorgeous piece of art!

This came out just wonderfully Titta! In Sweden we have a phrase: Something puts ants in your brain, don't know if there is an English word for this. My imagination runs wild looking at her and the environment. That's great! Sara must be very pleased with those wonderful artworks you have made of her photos! Your colors are just marwellous, and you are so good at painting!

Perhaps her fingers are a wee bit too long, but you've certainly captured her in a wonderfully reflective pose and the fertile setting is conducive to the turning over of thoughts.
