Mother as in Queen :p I *love* this model and it boggles my mind that it's totally free for non-commercial use! Matter of fact, everything used in this scene are Poser freebies! The Alien Queen model is by Sixus1 and can be found at http://www.poserfreebies.com/freebies/category.php?category=4 . You'll need all 3 or 4 downloads for the queen. Awesomely detailed! I played with the textures some, tho, adding some bump and displacement to various parts (such as most of the body and the teeth. The displacement (and I think an edge blend and one other shader node) I think made the teeth look awesome. The walls were also free and can be found at http://www.joes3dfantasyworlds.com/down/scifi01/scifi01.htm . I completely redid the textures, tho... I started with basic Poser 6 rust materials and played with them. I wanted the walls to be dark and some bumping/displacement. The light set started out as one of the free lightsets from http://www.runtimedna.com . However I changed most of it. This does have Ambient Occlusion turned on (most noticably with the teeth) and 4 spot lights of varying colors. There's also a spot with a negative value that I used to darken up the left side of the picture (and to a small extent the entire render). There's 1 more spot light pointing at her face. Rendered in Poser 6 in FireFly with the Final settings, minus texture filtering (as it made absolutely no difference except that it used much more ram). Post was a slight cropping (5 or 6 pixels around the outside), the border and that's about it. This was basically just a test to see how good the alien queen model would render. Turned into something I rather like :p
