This shot was taken while walking toward the tidal basin, looking back at the Washington Monument. I was almost speechless as I saw some of these beautiful places just bathed in a sea of pink cherry blossoms. This trip was one that I'll remember for a long time. I went specifically to take photos, and for no other reason. It was nice to have time and attempt to capture the views the way I wanted to without being rushed.

Would be perfect but for the @#$% com trail. Guess it's hard not to get one in such a busy place. Wonderful POV and the color of the sky!

Great shot. I work in DC and pass by the Monument almost every day. They should open it up in the next year...maybe...
