Description

Done in paintshop 7 with only a mouse- no paint brushes just the paint and smugde tools throw in the paint then smear it around or smugde 'til it looks halfway presentable ..this process, when trying to achieve a painting look, can literally take hours and hours and loads of patience but it's my made up wierd and unique style and I like to be original... (SIGH -oh mann, I just can't seem to finish it ..I look at my Dad's face and miss him too much..s)I think I had the best parents anyone could ever have! This is special to me because it was taken of my parents in love in 1964. I am so picky about painting it, and still unhappy..I probally will work on it a bit more later.. I don't have this frame in psp7( my only program -so i made it..). ..The picture before the painting - it was taken from a tiny old snap shot of my Parent's on vacation in one of the happiest times of thier lifes....it was taken in one of those doller -sit -down-and smile- wait for it to drop out of the hole.. thingamajig photo booths! there were three more, but I liked this one the best.. -Did my best to paint it and restore the scracthed up parts.. but I still don't think its finished.. LOL..oh well-.. so here it is for now..! Thanks for all your care and support..and wonderful comments and all of that.. have a great day there- hugs- Kimmers!

oh kimmers...i almost start crying when i see this! my eyes are all misty. girl...i can see nothin' but love in this artwork! this is soooooo special and you did just a MAGNIFICENT job. i have to add this one to my favs. i don't know your parents but truly i look this and wish i did! I'm soooo sorrry for your pain. i know how much i miss my grandfather. hugest hugs Kimmers, you are such an INCREDIBLE artist. i tell you that all the time because i'm totally in awe everytime i look at your pictures. You need to be paid for this stuff. Do you have any idea how much people would love for you to do portraits like this for them. As a matter of fact, i'd like to be your first customer. dunno if i can afford you, but we can IM and discuss payment. but i wanna commission you to do a portrait of my grandfather. i have some photos of him and i just don't have the talent to restore them. i could hire someone to restore them, but a portrait of him by you would mean soooooo much to me. i have some pics that i've taken...some others too. Your talent just blows me away! i wish we lived closer so you could teach me. and i would to do some collaberative stuff...kids' books. anyway, i've written a novel. better stop! luv ya! sheila

This is a wonderful work M'lady; and I hate to say this, because it dates me terribly, but around 1964 these machines were $0.25 for 4 photos :-) Your artistic skills are quite impressive, you even captured the 'feeling' of this time - Bravo! V

As another person commented, I knew immediately that these were your parents without seeing the title. This image demonstrates how you felt/feel about them -- and that's definitely a very good thing. You've done well with this Kim. Congratulations on a work well done. Excellent!

It took you around 20 hours to make.....but it took you forever to upload it, LOL. Ive been waiting a long time for this one. This is truly one of your very best, i cant see why youre not that happy with it...then again...you never are, LOL. I guess that insecurity goes for a lot of people, but i can assure you....this one you should feel proud of. Many talented people around this place...many, many many talented people....not that many true artists. You are one of those however. And you have proven this once again with this beautiful smudge or your parents. Im proud of you. Have a great weekend #:O)

They look so happy in the sixties' way, and for me so typical "american" ( I live in Sweden) You do very great with your mouse, you get really life in your portraits, and a lot of love.
