Description

No time for a painting today... I spent much needed time with my kids but dug this one up and immediatly thought of Eric and thought I would put it up... This is dedicated to Eric for helping me to see light in a whole new way.. I thought of you when I took this ..I was in this hut last week and suddenly looked up -got down on my back, and shot up.. It's nothing like what you do Eric but - more of a representation of an awakening, I recently have had..... your work- has helped me to look at world differently.. and that is a very good thing like a child waking up and seeing a rainbow for the first time it becomes all wonderously new!! and...this is my thanks..hug! Yes, I realise this is a simple -but sometimes the simple hold powerful meaning and this has meaning to me personally, about many things .. mainly, about seeing light in a dark world and allowing that light to light up the soul which can shine to others.!! ( Also a big thanks also to Zacko for your helping me with my photography this week as my computer has been acting up... your heart is one of gold, and and I appreciate you so much) I love this art comminity and everything we share on here it has brought a new tunnel of light to my world and given great joy my world. thanks for all your comments , care and time! Kimmers!

Been staring at this now for the last 5 minutes or so...and there is something about it that is absolutely hypnotic! Love the line and shadow here and how the light breaks through, framing that wonderful splash of green leaves. I find this image very peaceful and calming. I think you've done a marvelous capture here. Thank-you for sharing it! VOTE

i can't stop staring at this, Kimmers! What's not to LOVE about this!!!!???? POV is OUTSTANDING and just makes this shot! and the lighting....sigh I feel like i'm in space spinning or something. and i feel like i looking at a world within a world. those trees in the background...i look at them and think of a portal to another world. you have to tell me where this plant was. is that a cardboard box of some kind it's in...a special kind of box for transporting it from the nursery to home? is this a drain and the plant is growing there? a tunnel? wherever and whatever...it's a helluva a capture and you dedicated it to one of my favorite artists!!!! His work IS incredible and he's opened my eyes too!!!!! high 5s girlfriend!!!!!! Awesome capture!

okay to answer Shelia's question... t This was taken at the LOS ANGELES zoo... lol i didnt even get it in my head to begin to take pictures of caged animals- too many cool plants and trees and light everywhere...hard to explain but that was the first day i opened my eyes to a whole new world OF LIGHT... and it was like i was a child again (that was the same day i took the giving tree and the bird of paridice dreaming of flight shots...somehow that day was JUST MAGICAL!! .... this is one of those animal behind glass places athat had a center i was on the ground lookin' up at the top of the roof center... of it... i didn't care to see the sad animals all boxed in i wanted to see light happening( i think my family wanted to put me behind caged bars that day HAHAHA...) .. at the top of this centered opening -the white thingy wasnt a cardboard box but a rain-gutter ( i believe-lol- scracthes head) and that green plant is growing from the bottom floor up its reaching up to be kissed by the sun... poor little plant was surrounded by cement and to me, it held itself up with great pride and beauty but more beautiful- was the light that gave to it.. hope that explains the setting a bit more...

A change of perspective does wonders. Our eyes are mostly fixed at a horizontal level and not checking often enough for that which is bellow our feet, but especially what lies above our heads. Nice didicatoin to Eric whos nightime photography has opeened many eyes.
