Description

This is Roofus. His nickname is Roofus the Doofus. He just isn't very smart. He's a hound dog and he's VERY VERY VERY GUN SHY. He hears a loud noise and he freaks. Recently, he was running through a wooded area that we have fenced off for the dogs and he snagged himself on an azalea branch. Roofus now has 10 staples on his side because he was watching a bird and didn't see a tree. As I said......Roofus the Doofus. The Roofus Story: He was dropped off at the Jackson County Animal Shelter and tag was placed on his cage that said "turned in because won't hunt". That is a death sentence around here for a hound dog. I went to the pound four times and on his last day, I brought him home. I just couldn't let him die. Thanks for taking a look. BTW, Roofus is a Basset Hound Mix.

He He....^_^...he is a beauty!!....My own faithfull Basset Hound is sitting looking at me now as if I'VE said something stupid!!....Her name is "Sensi".....(she can be seen on my homepage here at Renderos).....I hope Roofus mends well...Darn Trees!!...lovely pic!!

Great work, captures the essecnse of dogness. (I had a dog once who was afraid of loud noises, he ran away one 4th of July and never came back, sounds like a joke but sadly is a true story. So keep tabs on Roofus on noisy holidays. He's too photogenic to lose.)
