Description

'Kettle Number Ten' Duo-tone ~ March 23, 2005 Comments: In regards to yesterdays photograph, 'Fiberous Remnants of Old Leaves', I mentioned that I was on my way to visiting the abandoned dynamite factory. Well, this evening is a little teaser of things to come in June of his year. I hope by then to have edited an estimated 1250 plus images into several categories into a few folios dealing only with this factory. It will be also then that the Renderosity gallery 'camera2' will be launched showing many of these factory images in colour. Unfortunately, in the last two weeks I have noticed an increased amount of destruction that was not witnessed since my start of this project about seven weeks ago. I am hoping that this is not going to continue to escalate, since it is making this place further unsafe as it is a favorite place for graffiti taggers and teenagers playing at war with paint-guns. On Monday and Tuesday, I will share two more images of this factory to give you a chance to see what I have been up to. Technical Information: CAMERA: Sony DSC-V1, Aperature priority setting to f-8, ISO100, EV -.07, Tripod LIGHT: Natural PHOTOSHOP NOTES: Adjustment in Auto Contrast, Auto Levels , Levels and Curves. Tone adjustments using Brightness and Contrast with conversion to B&W in Channel Mixer/RGB mode. Duo-tone settings have curve alterations and the secondary colour is R151/G132/B115. Thank you for your visit Vielen dank f

Very good image. Using a duotone was a good choice on such a subject. Only suggestion I would make is meybe cropping just a little off the bottom- it just seems like too much blacness there. But nevertheless- another great shot Eg!!!

I agree entirely with D.Moose regarding the suject and treatment, the black area at the bottom does not bother me but we all see things in a different way. Great!!
