Colour is an emotional thing, while B&W is mentally stimulating. If you want us to think, then this is the correct decision. On the other hand, if you want us to have feeling about this image, then colour should the version. As for my preferance, I like B&W white, as I think, contemplating on the waters movement and I begin to hear sounds.

Thanks CameraObscura, I kinda felt the same way. In my opinion B&W always has some sort of special feel to it, that often makes you more aware of hidden parts and pieces of a picture. The way you described it is wonderful, thanks a lot!

Yes Michel there are always many ways for this to work Also a ND filter can allow a slow speed to get a misty effect on the water I also like a lot in such situations but you will need a tripod.. Great stuff my friend

i like that the b&w gives it an abstract feel.

Hard to say not seeing the colour version, but l agree its down to personal mood and emotions and the b/w works for me, love the contrast around the rocks and swirl.. hugssss beautiful moody work.. sublime :)

Excellently done... an image to stare at for a while... watching the movement of the water, to hear it's sound and to fall deeply in thoughts! Compliments! Like this B/W version!
