Description

This is another from the 140th Gettysburg reenactment in 2003, bringing to many the heartfelt reality a battle fought in 1863. On the Federal(Northern) side, about 15,000 were killed with total losses about 23,000. General Lee(Southern) had close to 19,000 dead and total losses at 28,000 men. These battles of the American Civil War were not without tremendous cost. Other Civil War battles rival these numbers of dead, mortally wounded, wounded and missing. Ah, the cavalry

WOW, looks authentic to me :D Well shot and the use of black and white is honorable for the recreation of such a battle scene. Excellent shot !!!~***~!!!

The only giveaway is the scarcity and smallness of the trees. I love the foggy/smoky look; almost as if there were cannons firing nearby. Were there?
