Description

Lava Skin: This is the last lava ooz before I start heading back home. The fumes are starting to take an effect on me. I'll display the growth of this little outbreak for the next few post. In picture #1 (top picture), please note at the lower bottom right, there is a small black speck of lava skin. Around the hot spots or lava ooz, some parts of the lava skin will pop into little pieces and stand up as if it was magnetized. They are very sharp and fragile. These black specks of lava skin can be very dangerous to your eyes especially when the wind is blowing. A little gust of wind had blown some of these lava skin into the air around me. It did not hit me but its always wise to use some eye protection such as safety glasses when walking in these lava fields. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

As if you didn't have enough to worry about with molten lava feet away, now you have to worry about tiny pieces of it getting in your eyes. Some great final shots here. :)

Nice shot. You know it's funny, but whenever I see molten lava I get a powerful urge to plunge my face into it. Is that weird?
