Right on man. Those who seek to erect concrete black and white divisions between what will always "be" or "not be" Art miss the point in that in the end Art is as subjective as those who appraise it and those who create it. When those divisions will be placed differently for each individual, why divide so vehemently in the first place? Apart from anything else, when it comes to critics I see far too much of an influence of the tide of fashion and it's a rare individual who will be brave enough to go against the grain of his/her contemporaries. In the end, to err is human, and art critics are most certainly not above this. It's folly to believe that a critic has the last word when it comes to anything, for despite any so-called qualifications it's still no more than a personal opinion.
