I don't think there is anymore more plaintive than the sound of a wolf howling - they convey a wildness that we still admire, one that is gradually and sadly, disappearing.
Wolves have always been given a bad reputation which hasn't helped their quest to remain part of modern civilization. This image is dedicated to them.

So realistic it gives me shivers, you can almost hear that lonely howl. Plaintive is exactly the word I thought of when I saw this.

too bad you couldn't add a small sound file - you're a little pixalated on your sky, doing a blur on it would hide that and look like a natural shallow DOF I think. Great comp.

Dear Irene, wolves have definitely gotten a bad rap - and yet in one aspect, we've taken them in with us - as dogs are wolves. A couple of minor mutations that have taken place after domestication is all that separate them. I don't here wolves where I live, but I do here the coyotes. They have done much better at living within our environment. Excellent work! Love, Meredith
