Description

Dedicated to those souls possessed of hearts and minds that are filled with a most unique and particular spirit of adventure and courage " ...who go down to the sea in ships" I remember 'long ago', a long-ago movie entitled Down To the Sea In Ships (1949), which made me weep. Very dramatic and the scenes remain with me even to this day. Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may care to leave! Have a great day! Vue 5 Seatraveler by Kaol

Holy Mackerel! These sailors have some big problems here! I hope they are strapped in so they don't fall into the massive waves! Fantastic detail and I have no idea how you created those waves in Vue - I'll have to try that sometime! Awesome composition and very well done! VV

Aaaar matey, tie up thee sails then get yer self below deck! .................................................... i love way the ship looks perched up on top of the wave, but the wave itself looks somehow solid. If you make the waves more translusent it might look better.

I like the composition a lot -the Rhyme of the Ancient Marriner springs to mind- but the water looks more like icebergs to me. On the right-hand side of the ship you have two really vertical lines in the "water" structure. These indicate a vertical fall of the water, which is impossible. Seen from a surrealistic point of view, this is an image from a powerful dream.

Oh man! This is very impressing! Hope that all the people on on board survive this extremly horrible situation. (please read the story of Edgar Allan Poe: Down to the Maelstroem) Excellent and enter!

It's a great composition, it gives me a very eery feeling, of a ghostship caught in ice.

you all have serious problems in judging art & for not giving constructive critisms. At the college level, criticisms are a good thing that help the artist. This picture is way off. Are you all just lazy? Anyone can be a yes person and use !!!! but isn't there more to judging art? How does splendid job!!!! help the artist?

A frozen moment in a sailors life - hate to think when it hits the bottom of that wave. I like the composition of this image - and who is to decide what is great "ART" or not. Bravo Irene!!!

Hey Pollee, get a life will ya!!! Instead of slamming the image how about pointing out where YOU think it can be improved! I think it's a terrific scene and creating waves like that is not very easy!
