Description

and again a landscape. this time from two standard terrains (3000x3000) and two Ecosystems( six different trees) made. the fog is again made with a sphere and a volume fog material. that is a user settings render. i used the following parameters: advanced effects quality = 100% object anti- aliasing = subrays per pixel 48/quality = 100% material anti- aliasing = subrays per pixel 64/quality = 100% rendertime (AMD2000+) 6 hours 12 minutes and despite the high parameters, i have the granular fog do not away-get. possibly someone can make a suggestion, how i can solve the problem? using: Vue 5 Infinite tank you for the look and comments

Very beautiful composition, with this big opening on the landscape, I like very much this stage setting. The lighting and the low mist are magnificently made. Excellent work. Bravo! v

I am not sure I understand exactly your question but if it is the clarity of the atmo and fog areas I would suggest and adjustment to the ambient light settings. Ambient light is a 3d thing, not a real (natural) thing. Excellemt scene!

I can't see any granular areas except where the leafes are visible through the fog and I think this looks how it should. Excellent forest and very well composed scene!! V

As you are a perfectionist, I see what you mean with the fog. (There are many settings for volumetrics , inside the mat itself, if you push quality boost to +4 maybe you could attenuate the effect. but surely you tried that ) The image is magnificent all the same : excellent work!

I love this mood, no question. And have no problem with the fog that you feel is grainy. One solution is to do that in postwork. Saves time and is as good as you want it to. I find the clouds fantastic, this relly would interest me. How you have done that. A fantastic image, no question to repeat myself.

a fantastic image. I love how the river snakes through the valley. For the fog, I would try simplify the underlying function. Also, the scale could be too small, hence the noise.

Excellent work! Terrains are superb as is the vegetation, the placement of the towers really adds to the sense of scale. I like the atmosphere a lot, i know what you mean with the graininess, i have the same problem sometimes even with the highest quality settings. Very well done!
