this is AWESOME, Jeff!!!!!! luv that light and shadow and am very curious about it! did you take this while on your bike, looking into the mirror? this image is very tranquil and mellow. i really enjoy this. not sure why, but for some reason, the word "transcending" comes to mind here. that light maybe? looks like someone reaching upward. this is an image of overcoming?

TY Sheila...I am glad you like it :-). I was sitting outdoors in front of a local coffee shop and took a pic of a bike mirror. That's a car right behind it, a pole across the street, and I think the dark thing in the left is a coin-op newspaper box that's also across the street. I took the other photo during a dr. appointment I had the other day. It is a pic of some curtains in the waiting room. The curtains are dyed with a typical Zollner pattern. The Zollner image is an optical illusion that I think was discovered by some psychology scholar name Zollner. The horizontal lines are really parallel to one another, but don't appear that way due to the position of the diagnal lines in relation to the horizontal. This curtain's horizontal lines are not all exactly level due to a slight fold of the curtains I photographed, but most of the horizontals are pretty straight. I cut out the worst of it. If you stare and concentrate hard enough, you should be able to make them look straight. It is a game I play while waiting in the waiting room, but I think it may be bad for my blood pressure. The illusion examples on the web sites I found via google are more effective than what's on my pic. There is much cool Zollner information on the web. It is just an image of the spur of the moment :-)

Thanks all for your views and cool comments. Much appreciated as always. :-) yeah grrrduhbear...no reason in particular for my backwards-assed/upside down sig...i thought it looked cool at the time... I still do. p.s...the closer you put your face to your monitor, the more effective the Zollner effect. ;-)
