Description

We're having difficulty trying to get Spring to take hold here in Southern Ontario. It's been a very fickle time. You can wear shorts if you want... but you have to leave your long underwear on, too... which is not a fashion statement recognized by many of the trend setters. Heavy socks with sandals is also somewhat frowned upon by the Rodeo Drive bunch. But today was uniquely challenging ... cutting the lawn in a snowstorm. There doesn't seem to be any guidelines in place when choosing the proper attire for that... ;)

UF3 with frame and sig in PSP. Thanks so very much for all the wonderful and gracious comments you guys have left under my previous uploads... and thank you for having a peek at this one! Hugs!! Helen :)

as long as your lawnmower keeps his snowboots on, there is nothing wrong with cutting grass. your greatlooking driftwood does not seem to bother about weather conditions. mowers can be such sissies...

On the other side of the pond, the weather is equally fickle, rained so much here lately reckon I could get a ship berthed at my front door to get over to your part of the world (I'll bring the snowshoes too)!...I love this image, it's pristine, just like sea washed driftwood!

The sand and setting. The evening sky transitioning to night. The sound of the surf in the background...Makes me miss Oregon. This is a magnificent image with a deep, simple beauty as it's found in nature. Just the way I like it!

Oh WOW. Helen, this is one of the most beautiful images I've seen. The "driftwood" design is just exquisite- love the details and coloring. Fine smooth sand, primo lighting, and the tuquoise-with-a-tinge-of-yellow/gold sky is gorgeous. Superb composition and moodpiece and a class-act presentation!

Wonderful composition and great color choices; hope your artistic senses aren't thrown out of whack when the rumor of Spring comes true. :)

Such a beauty! The smaller fractals look just like lichen/seaweed clinging to the dead branches! :)

Wow, my brain hurts. I saw this last night but was way too tired to think. I'm back working the evening shift for a few days. Fantastic work, from the swirling sky to the amazing textures on the sand. The drifwood is just awesome, a terrific example of fractal art!

Beautiful fractal driftwood settled in a lovely composition. Mowing the lawn in a snow storm? Now that's something I've yet to see!

Amazing! What I truly find captivating Helen, is the fact that this image really does lend an air of turbulence. The sharp, angular forms resting on a smooth, sandy surface are made to sharply contrast each other as a result of the tumultuous sky looming in the background. I was thinking these thoughts before I read your words. After laughing my ass off from your hilarious fashion statements and subsequent lawn mowing adventure, I couldn't help but to admire the accomplishment of what you set out to do with this work. Bravo my darling... you rule babe.

Hi Helen ,Since getting home we have not had much time to spend at the computer - But WOW - what a beautiful fractal ! So reminiscent of Mexico - that beautiful turquoise water and fine white sand and lacy lichen !You make me want to jump right in that surf !Are you sure that is not some "special species of fish" you have conjured up! LOL ,V&B
