Everywhere people with camera's find their way in this world to make their shots. I like the art of taking realistic pictures, because it provides a way to show how I experience this world. It is a way for other people to look through my eyes.Nature ... exists primarily for her face, her look, her appeals to the heart and the imaginationGeorge MacDonaldJan-Carel Vierbergen
Picture courtesy of Ruut WegmanBIOIt is all in the family: love for hiking in the nature. Since my childhood I'm used to walk with father, brothers, cousins, etc., and take pictures (Minolta X-700 with 28-70 mm and 100-300 mm zoom) of what I see. I grew up in Ede (The Netherlands), studied Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven and I am working now as Coordinator e-learning at the Christelijke Hogeschool Ede (http://www.che.nl) where I implement digital assessments for students and assist students in DTP and creating websites.
Since I know little about photographing as well as computer science it was not difficult to find ways for putting images on the web. The only thing to look for now is to find ways for showing the slides in a convenient way. I tried already something at http://www.che.nl/users/jcv (Dutch only, click at Dia's van de natuur in Nederland en de Alpen), but this platform provides good means to share my pictures with others.
I hope you enjoy this!

I can understand that you could not choose which one of these wonderful pictures to post... so, you did both ! ;-) Snow landscapes are really difficult to capture... you did a good job, Jan-Carel ! Enjoy your holiday ! :~)

Thank you for showing me photos of the places I didn't get to see when we were in that area a few years ago! The weather had completely closed in on us, and a fog obscured EVERYTHING! What a lovely place! Maybe I will take a flight over it one day...

Lifestyle even when inset in a business should not be a crime. Today when the police second guess accountants and auditors to fit life to a loutish brutal view one must look at the high bureaucrat whose heart sinks and his steps pause at male aggression because it brings controversy. All these things can be overcome it seems until the escalation throws them back in your face a hundred fold. What a wall of ice. Franz Kafka's "Ice Palace" is upon us!

I really did enjoy the Bachalpsee series. Splendid presentations, commentary, and of course, gorgeous photos. Great views today too, at first I thought they might be the same slope viewed from different angles! ;] We'll get to that lake yet....

Magnificent mountains! These two pictures are definitely a worthy ending to your Bachalpsee series. And later, maybe, we'll get a sequel...

both of these are magnificent, Jan-Carel! i can see the powdery snow in the air and it looks so pretty!!! Both offer fabulous views and i'm glad you have them both here! the one on the left shows more detail of the rock while the one on the right shows a better texture of the snow (maybe?) it's close! both are absolutely gorgeous!!!
