Description

Well, after the experience of Bachalpsee (was it that disappointing, not reaching the target but still seen and enjoyed so many things?) it's time for an easy stroll. Along the lakes there are perfect tracks for easy walks. So I decide to provide my mother some accompany and walk with her from Iseltwald to the east and back. The shadows of the woods take away the heat of the sun and we get nice vista's on the north side of Lake Brienz. The height difference between tops (the top on the right is the Brienzer Rothorn, which you can reach by (steam cog) railway) and lake is 2350 m (7709 ft) minus 564 m (1850 ft) resulting in 1756 meters (5761 ft). It's still a nice challenge to do ascend and descend that in one day.... Well, anyway, enjoy the vista! Is there any particular detail I could try to zoom in on it? This looks much more friendly territory! More familiar perhaps, more "civilised"... But after the heights you have been to, the contrast must be something of a relief! Is that a waterfall or a clacier I see in the distance?

Another great Alpine view! I like how you added some DOF with the tree on the right. Looks like a waterfall just to the left of center! Can you zoom in on that?

Un paysage onnant on peut remarquer la chute qui coule. Le ciel la neige qui recouvre et la verdure c'est simplement magnifique. Jolie coup d'oeil ;)

Magnificent view - love the contrast between the lush green landscape near the lake and the rock/ice near the top.

Looks like one of the most beautiful places on Earth I could look at this all day and I can see a waterfall from the spring runoff just left of center and you can almost trace its course to the lake. Stunningly beautiful!!!!!! ;o)
