Description

An image i had in mind for a while now. And found the time to work on it. Originally it was intented to enhance my ability to do steam - or clouds in a next step maybe. This was done with several metablobs in the end that form the steam on the ground. AND a little Pxxxwork - but more in terms of blur and color correction than steaming! Who is who here? Taschen 500 objects train, dressed with a slightly modified BountfulKnight metal material; Gaetans superb signal tower, railway light and water tower. Rest is me, my Mac, Vue Infinite and a little Photoshop.

I love this image...wondered too about the "front wheels off the track" but I think this is an optical illusion because there is a lot of "train" out front of it's own wheels, perhaps? I love the atmosphere and POV!

Excellent and interesting picture. Quite crisp on the left side and a lot of blur on the right side. Seems almost like two pictures to me, like two sides of a coin. If this was intended, then the idea is brilliant. Anyway, fantastic composition, great steam and wonderful textures.

Fantastic work, Walther! Love the composition and textures here. It's a shame you had to add postwork but I know how difficult it can be to add this effect in certain lighting. Wonderful job!! v

This is terrific, Walther; what wonderful lighting and pov...you can really get the feeling that the train is just about to move, excellent work on the fog too....Great job!!!
