Hi There This picture is dedicated to my Mum and was taken today in her lovely garden where she watched and waited patiently while I took photos :-) It was great to visit her on her special day ... love you heaps Mum. I'm sure your Mum got a 'buzz' out of this Noeline - it's lovely. Is that a pohutakawa flower? I thought they blossumed around christmas time.

@ WZRD ... no it's a bottle brush flower, probably the same family though as the flowers are very similar.You're right Pohutakawas do flower around Christmas, Noeline

We call these the Bottle Brush plant, which originated in Australia. The bee is loving it and I hope your Mum does too!!!

Wow I would love to have a cutting of this plant Never saw the likes of it before & its beautiful My mom just passed away Feb 19th with a heart attack and I always got her a Boston Fern for Mother's Day a tradition,,,but I didnt this yr so very hard to make it thru the day Glad you had yours there with you and you got to capture this shot as well Can you send plant rootings from New Zeland to Ky lol was wondering???????
