Description

Tuscan Impressions 10 olive trees ...another picture on the way from Florence to Siena... here we again have some olive trees... i'm not sure about the colors... on my monitor they look fine... on an lcd i guess the whole thing get's again an unnatural touch of green... dunno... i guess i need to calibrate my monitor here... but anyway - it was a quite strange mood and light... it was very light - as it was very slightly misty but the sun was shining... so very bright - and the fresh grass and the silver olive trees... humm - i looked strange in reality - i can remember this moment... but it was great! *** previous shot - tuscan series - old chapel #3 next shot - tuscan series - *** and another shot - NO tuscan impression - passed times instead ;) thanks for stopping by and watching :) and of course - critics, thoughts, whatever are welcome - the more useful the better... ;) so don't hesitate to point out things which could be done better... thanks you! -christian pictures taken with a Canon EOS 50e / 28-85mm (/70-300mm) scanned negatives and postwork/framing in Xara X1/PSP9 latest 2D work have a look here...

The photo is lovely, but the colors seems just as you say, unnatural. I have a CRT monitor. Too much green I think.

It does look too green-blue on my CRT monitor too... it depends what you were trying to achieve, a naturally coloured scene or a moody tint. Great subject though :-)

The colouring makes it tuscana... look kinda duck egg blue..to me.. but no glare.. it works in this landscape because.. the art of toscana landscapes..also gives a slight moody atmosphere ... beautiful work... true art ..:)

Yes it's greenish, but I like it! This has such strong composition, it would be cool in plain old black and white.

a wonderful impression. ich habe mir gedacht, Du wolltest die Farben so verdern ? jedenfalls, wenn ich denke es sollte neutral sein, dann ist einiges zuviel Cyan drin. !!!!!!!!! #:O) !!!!!!!!!!

I think the teal tint works well for me, but like Enmos, postworking out the powerlines would really add to this great capture :) Thank you so much for sharing.
