another brilliant shot... i like it a lot - those sceneries... like a secret story is told... a lot of "history" in those... especially as it's "empty"... a huge free space for the mind to stroll around and create stories... amazing - thanks for sharing!

Cabinet doors flung open, drawers half closed..... as if someone, were searching desperately for a sliver of something that most would call peace of mind...... sorry son, there ain't none of that here.... heart runs for cover

i see hope here...i guess because i know it could be filled with love, joy, and laughter...just takes someone seeing the beauty here. an empty heart? maybe now...just needs some tender, loving care. This kitchen is just waiting to be filled up!!!!! your image is hauntingly beautiful. while i feel the sadness of the past and present, i can't help but feel hope here...fabulous composition and lighting. the shadows make me shiver.

You're right about the kitchen is the heart of the house... has ever been and will be for me! The place where the family meets and talks and all share their experiences of the day. To see it like this is very hard... but it shows perfectly the thoughts and feelings you wanted to express, Egmont! Yes, Sheila said it already... the shadows make one shiver! An excellent part of your expressive series! ***** Thanks for sharing!

a sad and lost impression! the open cupboards a look into an empty soul! I remember the kitchens of my granny, it was also a living room, cozy and warm, eating, talking, living! no need for other rooms! and today? often without soul...

There is poem entitled "The House With Nobody In It" for which your beautiful photos would be perfectly suited. Superb set of photos.

Your words are so true, and this house is the canvas upon which you painted a masterpiece of emmotional turmoil.
